Summary/Abstract: This text analyzes one of the most significant notions in literature for children and youth—childhood—which is determined by war in the analyzed Ćopić’s texts. This paper presents how the topic of war in the selected Ćopić’s prose shifts the previously known and typical poetic characteristics of literature for the youngest.
