Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to Marek Serafiński’s film „Hunchbacks” from the series „14 Tales from the Kingdom of Lailonia by Leszek Kołakowski”, produced by TvSFA in Poznań in 1990s. Reflections on an animated adaptation of a philosophical fairy tale evoke revisionist context of Kołakowski’s thought from the 1950s and 1960s, the evidence of which we may find in his publications of the time, especially in the secondary stream of his intellectual activity, that is texts published in popular journals and literary works. An important element of the interpretation is the tradition of the Polish school of animation, which as an artistic formation of a broad philosophical and political impact came into existence at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s.
