Summary/Abstract: The 14th century festal menaion kept at St. Catherine's Monastery on Mount Sinai (Sin. 25) contains a service for St. Alexius, Man of God (17th March). The 9th ode of the canon has an acrostic which reads КЛHМ, known to be the regular shortened signature used by St. Kliment of Ohrid in his hymnographic works. The preliminary survey shows no Greek or Slavonic parallels for the service. Only the stihera and the troparion of its Vesper part are to be found in a 15th century festal menaion from SS Cyril and Methodius National Library in Sofia (№ 122) and in a Slavonic hymnographic miscellany of the 12th–l3th century from Vienna National Library (ÖNB Cod. slav. 37) respectively. The article offers a publication of the text of the Sinai service for St. Alexius, Man of God as well as the texts or the stihera and the troparion as found in the Sofia menaion and in the Vienna manuscript.
