Summary/Abstract: The presented Service for the Assumption is in Menaion № 113, a Middle Bulgarian monument of the 13th с. in the collection of the SS Cyril and Methodius National Library in Sofia. It contains one of the few preserved "combined" canons for the Assumption, with parts of the original Kliment's canon for the festival. The Service for Assumption in the manuscript under review is distinguished by a more complicated structure of the sequences for the same date in similar menaion compositions. The larger number of hymnographic elements, interpolated in its composition, refers the monument to the liturgical practice of the Evergetid typicon, the introduction of which among the South Slavs was associated with the activity of St. Sava of Serbia during the 13th с. The beginnings of all the chants included in the sequence are published. The distribution of the tropes of the combined canon in menaion № 113 is given in a separate appendix.
