Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this research is to describe the structures, which contain difference concerning the parallel use of the Dative and Genitive cases of possession. Material extracted from the Vatican apracos from the 10th с. is used as a basis of comparation. Four Old Bulgarian Evangelical Transcripts - Zogr, Mar, As and Sav – have been compared. The correspondences of the structures in the Greek Evangelical text have also been compared. The possessive structures expressed by case forms registered in Vat are presented in two main groups depending on the case form. The Genitive : Dative possessive forms in the described structures is the following: Vat – 38:22, Zogr 32+2*:l3+3*, Mar – 33:17, As – 31:20 and Sav 13:18. That syntactic data show examples in which the Old Bulgarian translator kept to the original text. Vat is closest to the Greek text, followed, with some minimal difference by the Glagolitic Gospels, which is a proof of their archaism. On the other hand, the data also contain some typical features, that existed in spoken Bulgarian. One of them is the beginning of the competitive use of the two specialized (Genitive and Dative) possessive case forms. This fact can be found in the oldest Slavonic translation literature.
