On the History of the Wall Paintings in "Sts Peter and Paul" Church in Veliko Turnovo (On the Method of Research)

Summary/Abstract: The various stages of development in the history of Veliko Turnovo up to the 16th century as well as the stages in the creation of the wall paintings at the same time are examined. The characteristic features and the position of the paintings within the groups into which they are divided are analysed in detail. Special attention is paid to the renovation of the initial paintings of 1236 in the following century.
