Linguistic Peculiarities of the Psalter Fragment No. 453 in the Collection of the “SS Cyril and Methodius” National Library, Sofia

Summary/Abstract: Two parchment folio of a Psalter (13th–14th c.) from the “SS Cyril and Methodius” National Library, Sofia, are presented and analysed for the first time in the article. The analisis of the fragment is comprehensive: phonetic peculiarities as well as grammatical (morphosyntactic) and lexical features are considered. To this a textological study of the redaction of the text is added. For this purpose the text is compared with four medieval Psalters from the 14th–16th cc. (the Norov Psalter from the 14th c., the Tomich Psalter from the mid-14th c., Cyprian’s Psalter from the 15th с. and the Plovdiv Psalter from the 16th c.).
