Summary/Abstract: Archive holdings and collections in the field of education make up a significant part of the archive material in the archives of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Most of these funds are incomplete. The paper points to some shortcomings of archival theory and practice when it comes to overall system of evaluation of registry and archival material. Particularly noteworthy is the issue of the incompleteness of archival fonds and collections in the field of education and points to the possible improvement of the situation with, among other things, analysis of experiences of the Archive of Tuzla Canton.
