Summary/Abstract: Since 2005, the Polish Institute of International Affairs has been publishing source documents on the history of Polish foreign policy from 1918 to 1989 in successive volumes of the series Polskie Dokumenty Dyplomatyczne (Polish Diplomatic Documents, PDD). The article sums up the 20 volumes brought out over the past 10 years, outlining the experience gained by editors of the series in the course of researching the archives, selecting documents for publication and completing the lengthy and complicated editorial process.
