Strategy of National Forests Holding vs. sustainable development

Summary/Abstract: The concept of sustainable development in the second half of the twentieth century had an impact on the perception of the relationship between the economy, society and natural resources. Sustainable development is long-term development carried out by the company and included in its strategic documents. The result of the study was to identify objectives and strategy metrics for National Forests Holding. The study identifies accomplished tasks that State Forests had in their strategy, such as timber production, breeding selected species of plants and animals, construction of parking lots, bicycle paths in the forests, contribution to scientific research. The company implementing the strategy in the years 2014-2015 led education, forest and organized competitions to promote Polish forestry, namely through sustainable forest management supported sustainable development.
