Summary/Abstract: All religions lack the culture of critical public, which should not look towards unfriendly believers, but rather believers looking for a responsible life of faith. Now more than ever, religions are exposed to the public eye, which is why it is no longer easy to hide the true values that motivate their action – the desire to give hope to all people, or the desire to confirm its own institutions using the devices of political power – but this does not just happen to official representatives of religious communities, but also to each individual believer called to live their fate responsibly, in a society bound by cooperation with those who do not believe o matters related to the good of mankind, since the lack of faith, just like faith, is a choice worthy of human dignity, if based on conscience and a constant examination of the individual in the realm of personal freedoms.
