Summary/Abstract: Today the Carpathian Basin’s motherland role, a policy regarding minorities in neighbouring countries, transnationalism, multiple identities or multiple citizenship of the migrants, the new forms of migration, the circulation migration phenomenon are simultaneously present in Hungary. International migrants cannot be uniformly regarded. Our analysis divides migration of the population into four main groups: the double (Hungarian and other) citizens, foreign citizens, foreign-born citizens and returning Hungarian nationals.
