Logistic performance management in the units of the Ministry of National Defence

Summary/Abstract: Management, Logistics and Efficiency represent true symbols of the contemporary development analysed in this paper, not only at the level of the national economy, but also within the system of National Defense. We are witnessing the separation of certain specific managerial elements from the ones generally accepted, with regards to endorsing the minimum material framework within which the soldier must risk their live both during training and combat situations. Professional management can be identified as a system, within the logistics of the armed force, and as organizational and managerial subsystems, within its components. For preparing, carrying out and finalizing the actions on the battle filed, the logistics managers must carry out their basic duties reflected in the organization, planning, decision-making, motivation, control and the logistics activities per se, on the basis of their initiative and awareness.
