Summary/Abstract: Besides the economical problems directly related to the field of transport, a series of social, security and environmental pressures shape the development of transport across road, rail, sea and air. Shortfall in human resources, like drivers, maintenance staff for track upkeep, qualified crews, problems in security insurance, especially in air traffic, environmental challenges for different kinds of transport are some of the major problems regarding the transport at global level.
