Summary/Abstract: The freedom of services is a core fundamental of the European Single Market. Its implementation was not successful and effective over the years. In 2015 the European Commission introduced New Strategy for Upgrading Single Market, where services are one of the priorities. The aim of the paper is to present the New Strategy actions in the context of the Services Directive targeted at making the market without borders for services a practical reality.
