Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to offer a reading of the four chapters of Anselmʼs Proslogion and the place of ontological argument in the dialogue between Anselm and fool. The introduction is a brief and selective consideration of Anselmʼs ontological argument in philosophy. The next section considers the place of the fool and the ontological argument in regard to Anselmʼs Monologion and Proslogion. )n the next part, the article introduces the provisional dialogue between Anselm and the fool in the first four chapters of Proslogion about the change of attitude of faith toward the capacity for reason, and in the conclusion the ontological argument is proposed as a test for this change in attitude.
