Summary/Abstract: In contemporary organizations employees’ career development is not always associated with climbing the hierarchical ladder, but with realization of opportunities for enrichment of employees’ position as well as with increase of employees’ satisfaction in regards to their role in the organization. The career opportunities are perceived in different ways depending on the individual’s attitude towards his/her career. The attitude is linked to the manner in which the individual makes career in the organization and the way in which he/she evaluates it. Usually the positive attitude towards the career corresponds to development of an effective one. If the needs, interests, moods, feelings, suitability and willingness of the individual are in synchronization with the requirements of his/her position, then the attitude towards a career in this position would be positive. The basic assumption is that the employees form an attitude towards the career opportunities in the organization and this attitude determines their behavior as employees. The following report presents the results of a conducted survey for employees’ satisfaction with their career status in a particular organization as well as their satisfaction with the provided opportunities for professional and career development.
