Summary/Abstract: The article concerns the teamwork and is focused on teams diversity and virtualisation that are typical for contemporary project teams. The hybrid Y generation’s characteristic is presented in the context of teamwork which stresses its collaborative and individualistic approach. The result of the survey concerning Polish Y generation preferences towards diverse virtual team is presented. It was conducted on the group of Tricity students. The aim of the research was to diagnose if collaboration in diverse virtual teams (which suits Millennial’s features and needs) was the natural choice of Ys. The results prove Y generation needs to be prepared to work in multicultural, virtual organizations and the correlation between virtual teamwork experiences and their attitudes towards virtual collaboration should be explored.
