Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the issue of interdependence between a type of achievement motivation and employees’ expectations about development supporting actions. The main purpose of the research was to provide data showing the role of research tools in a purposefulplanning of development programs. The results of the analysis confirm all initial hypotheses. The obtained data prove a substantial interdependence between a type of achievement motivation and employees’ expectations as regards development initiatives and professional burnout syndrome. The observed correlation may prove to be a vital aid for specialists in human resource management and those who create development programs, in particular.
