Summary/Abstract: This is the work about protection issues and the acquisition of archival records of legal persons in bankruptcy. After the collapse of a large number of former economic subjects, over which is due to the lack of further business bankruptcy proceedings. The question was how to protect archives of these companies. Despite the existence of legal rules governing the issue of bankruptcy archives, the Historical Archives of the City of Novi Sad faces with different practices in the field and with certain problems. The concluding remarks are given some suggestions about improving the business in terms of protection of archive material.
