Summary/Abstract: Epistemological anarchism, as presented in the mid-1970s by Paul Karl Feyerabend, is leading a clandestine life. The opinions once expressed by the Austrian philosopher seem not only to characterize the situation of academic research today, but also reveal their accuracy in relation to a number of social narratives. This observation provokes us to pose specific questions regarding the extent to which anarchism (as a cognitive attitude) has become part of public discourse, and, in particular, a component of what we consider to be a manifestation of systemic and moral order? What are the practical consequences of its (anarchism’s) presence in different areas of public life? What is academia in this context and are we sure that the discoveries made on its grounds are real, or at least, that they are not harmful?
