Summary/Abstract: The promotion of Bulgaria on the international markets aims to create, attract and retain tourists of the respective destination. One way to achieve the aforementioned is through effective promotional strategies. The current paper emphasizes on the importance of promoting our country on the German target market. The report argues that the promotion is associated with the personification of the destination – to become recognizable, to have identity.
