Summary/Abstract: The article “Thomas MacGreevy's 'Gloria de Carlos V.' In-between Poetry and Art” presents an interpenetration of a poem by an Irish modernist poet, Thomas MacGreevy, entitled “Gloria de Carlos V” written around 1924 after the poet's visit to the Prado gallery in Madrid. My interpenetration focuses on the intersection of the poet's fascination with visual arts, religion and poetry itself. The main thesis of my article is that this intersection offers a unique insight into the poetic knowing of being.
