Summary/Abstract: Contact during IX and VI century BC between local human group in Atlantic western side (Portugal) and Mediterraneans peoples can be investigate below the term “contact archaeology”: this word, borrow from historical archaeology of Brasil, suggest some methods between history sciences and prehistory archeology, with some adaptation to the European protohistory. An example of application is the study of interaction between indigenous and Mediterranean in Portuguese Middle Tagus Valley: that part of Central Portugal is like a frontline between the direct and indirect penetration of Mediterranean peoples in Tagus River.
