Summary/Abstract: Lots of information that can be quickly and easily found on the Internet changes the expectations of researchers and other users. It is therefore particularly important to archive that they make their information services available in a complete and understandable form. To make this possible it is necessary to arrange records and to describe it. How to take advantage of the new opportunities provided by new technologies and to use development of the technology on availability of materials and the user-defined function? Is the legislation good?What is the situation in the Croatian archives? The impact of material available on the user-defined function will be shown on practices such as the Archives Portal Europe, European Archival Blog and Europeana.
