Summary/Abstract: The undertaken research study aimed to evaluate the functioning of the Large Family Card (LFC) in Poland. The LFC is a general term standing for nationally or locally implemented programmes that are aimed at families with many children. The idea behind the programme is to create a positive image of a large family and to improve living conditions. The basis for the analysis are interviews with program participants from selected programs, in the form of focus group interviews (FGI). The evaluation of the program is mostly dependent on the extent to which the needs and expectations of large families in a given city are satisfied. Generally, respondents are positive about the program, but they see it rather as an addition than real support of their living conditions.
