Summary/Abstract: Recently, the Kremlin has been losing tolerance for the liberal media in Russia. Interestingly, this cannot be judged as a direct response to an increasingly empowered opposition. Rather, this latest crackdown serves a more specific purpose: to further entrench a one-dimensional understanding of Russia in the world.
