Summary/Abstract: The Canon of the Scriptures: Hermeneutic Principle and Ecumenical Model. This study was prompted by the recent edition of the ecumenical translation of the Bible in French (TOB 2011), which has added five more books to its Old Testament. The first section of the paper presents this new edition, followed by a synthesis of the evolution of the canon of the Holy Scripture, an analysis of the underlying hermeneutical principle behind this canon, and finally, the last part suggests the use of the scriptural canon within the ecumenical dialogue.
