ASSUMING THE CROSS OF CHRIST AS PARADIGM OF THE TRUE QUALITY OF A DISCIPLE ACCORDING TO MARK THE EVANGELIST

Summary/Abstract: Assuming the Cross of Christ as Paradigm of the True Quality of a Disciple According to Mark the Evangelist. This study analyzes a few characteristics of Christ’s disciples as they are seen by Saint Mark, the Evangelist. The calling to apostleship, the first apostles’ paradigmatic answer and the assuming of the cross are a few elements which can generally define the authentic image of a disciple. Thus, the love for God, the authentic faith, the courage of telling the truth and of assuming the cross are identified as being characteristics of Christ’s disciples.
