Summary/Abstract: “Péter Nádas’s works have proved too big to swallow for German criticism.” Péter Nádas is one of the most important, internationally renowned authors of contemporary Hungarian literature. The journal Jelenkor published a special issue for his sixtieth birthday. The study surveys the German reviews on Nádas following the 1999 Frankfurt Book Fair.
