On the importance of developments in tourism and leisure in the growth of tourism in rural areas

Summary/Abstract: Rural areas of rich natural, landscape, cultural and spatial assets are Poland's sizeable potential Among key elements that underlie success in the growth of tourism and touristic projects is the development in tourism, and thus developments in tourism combine all faculties and equipment in their entirety whose objective is to satisfy needs of tourists. Of importance to the development of countryside tourism are also social and economic relations in a given area and the condition of tourist infrastructure. The major issues discussed in the paper are aspects relating to the impact of tourist developments on the attractiveness and growth of tourism in rural areas. The objective of the paper is to point out the importance of touristic and leisure development in rural areas and a relationship between the development of countryside tourism and regeneration of rural areas.
