Is it possible to hide from the media culture?

Summary/Abstract: The article begins with considerations concerning enclaves that may be positively valued: those that are a sort of “closing off”. Then, the main issues concerning the understanding of the mass culture, the Internet and other electronic devices co-creating the contemporary media culture will be discussed. Above all, we will concentrate on the problem of whether an isolation from the media culture is potentially possible in the contemporary civilization. We conclude that, unfortunately, this sort of full and consistent isolation is practically not possible.
