Defence and Protection of Macedonia from Antiquity to First World War

Summary/Abstract: By dint of historical analysis of the period from Antiquity until First World War can be seen that the territory of Macedonia in this time frame existed and the defense and protection of the population and material goods were organized. Besides all this at the same time it reflects and genesis of its development and the way of organization and functioning which primarily depended of the then current dangers and threats. But regardless of the differences and similarities that have occurred in the way of organization and functioning of defense and protection in those historical periods it had the same objective, i.e. the defense and protection of people and material goods. Actually it is represented by the need and ability of man to his protection and preservation of social values which he was creating, from occurrence dangers and threats that have been present in those historical periods.
