Summary/Abstract: Non-European markets, mostly represented by former developing countries, make an important and attractive area for economic activities of high and medium developed economies. So far “traditional” exporters to Africa, Asia and Latin America (US and west-European companies) are today accompanied by Chinese and Indian firms, which are active mostly in Africa. They are followed by central European investors, including Polish ones. Today for Polish companies African markets are the most attractive. Foreign direct investments in Africa make the main world bulk of FDI now. The reason is political stabilization in Sub-Saharan Africa and economic boom after many years of bad situation. Also African ruling classes are willing to cooperate with foreign capital. It makes a challenge for the governments of medium developed countries, like Poland, to support logistic and financial needs of own potential investors.
