Statistical Analysis Of Multiculturalism Research In Vojvodina

Summary/Abstract: The paper is based on the analysis of a survey conducted in 2006. A simple random sample was used, consisting of about 1,200 persons distributed over seven counties of Vojvodina. The paper deals with the part of the study concerning the problem of so- ciocultural and economic aspects of multiculturalism in Vojvodina. The data consist of a multivariate matrix of categorical and numerical variables. Multigroup analysis is based on methods for the classification of variables and some nonparametric methods. Multicultural aspects are analized using correspondence analysis and contingency ta- ble analysis. Contingency tables in two and three dimensions are the basis for the es- timation of the indicators of association and correlation between variables. Multigroup analysis supposes specific problems of comparisons over different variables repre- senting different cultural, national, ethnic and other levels of the investigation. Hence, some comparisons of socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, national and other aspects are made on the Province of Vojvodina.
