Summary/Abstract: The article aims at showing that reffering to philosophy of Martin Heidegger as „non-naturalistic” is inaccurate, because it attempts to describe Heidegger’s thought in terms, which Heidegger has redefined or rejected. In the article I argue that Heidegger did not belittle the problem of body, life and animality, and that his discussion of these issues should be seen in the context of his critique of the ontic perspective and the assumption of the unity of being.
