Summary/Abstract: Childhood is an object of numerous images which present how society sees the youngest. This period is a construct of society under religious, cultural, social, and many other influences. Numerous pieces of information reach people every day. In the contemporary world pictorial communication dominates the verbal one and it shapes to a great extent the mentality of society. Thus, the media play an important role in the shaping of common thinking about the child and the values of its life. The media of mass communication, television series among others, display not only an image of the presently desirable reality, but also create and present a model and a pattern.
