Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to the second Christmas Canon included in the December liturgical menaion for November–January which is kept in the Russian State Archives for Ancient Acts, fund 381, No. 130 (12th–13th c.). In it is published the text of the Canon which in the manuscript replaces the Christmas Canon by John of Damascus’ that is usually found in this place in the liturgical menaion. At the same time is published the Greek text and the text of the Canon of John of Damascus’ according to the liturgical menaion for December of the 12th с. from the collection of the Moscow Synodal Library (at present in the State History Museum in Moscow, fund 80370, Syn. 162).
