Summary/Abstract: In this article the problem of relation between time and inner experience of occurrences has been undertaken. The two poles of experience intensity – on the one hand monotonous, toneless, and on the other, varied and strongly saturated – form analogical reception of time, which flows slowly or fast. The phenomenon of shortening and stretching periods of time has been described in belles letres. Psychologists and philosophers have dealt with this issue. The research on rhythm conducted by Richard Hönigswald is very interesting in the context of the relation between time and experience, which is discussed in this article. During the research, Hönigswald established that rhythm is the basic way to divide time and, therefore, also its experience.
