Summary/Abstract: The following article presents the circumstances of the establishment of the Academy of Music in the period between 1937 and 1940, and its founding as a public institute in April 1940. The discussion focuses on the disputes involved in the appointment of full professors and associate professors at the newly founded educational institute.
