Summary/Abstract: The author presents the situation in the seventies of the 20th century, when the archival theory and practice faced with ideas and doubts about the introduction of information technologies in the work. He describes the positive and practical solutions for setting website archival institutions and some basic items that all archives in the preparation of the site must consider. Olso, paper presented the activities of the International Institute for Archivistics in the application of information technology.
