THE TRADE IN TROYAN AND TROYAN-REGION

Summary/Abstract: In this paper an attempt is made to represent the process of development of trade in Troyan region and the establishment of the town Troyan as a central market-place. The author reveals the home- and foreign commercial connections and relationship of this town in Bulgarian lands and abroad. There has been considered as well the significance and importance of Troyan - fair which emerges as a well-known and large-scale trading centre among the most important in Bulgaria as early as the middle of the XIX century.
