Summary/Abstract: The Corfu Channel incident was not a fortuitous event in Albanian-British relations, but a consequence of developments in these relations after the Second World War and the international climate that has developed after the beginning of 1946 between the Great Powers, the Soviet Union on the one hand, and the United States and Great Britain on the other. At the end of the war, Brittany was obliged to establish de facto relations with the Provisional Government of the National Liberation Front, created in Berat in October 1944, when the Communists dominated.
