Scientific and Everyday Concepts of Contemporary Bulgarian Graffiti

Summary/Abstract: The article investigates the scientific terminological uses of the word graffiti, as well as the lack of everyday collective nomination for them. Special attention is paid to the emerging discrepancy between the definitions of graffiti in the articles on contemporary Bulgarian graffiti and their everyday differentiations from similar artifices on the basis of a whole cluster of formal and sociocultural criteria. A conclusion is drawn that no definition could be successfully drawn if it does not take into account the cluster type of the everyday differentiation.
