Summary/Abstract: The article tells about the friendship and cooperation developed during many decades between the author of the given article and the person whose anniversary is celebrated. Just thanks to favourable cooperation of the professor Iryda Grek-Pabisowa, the author of these lines managed to publish and make the property of folklorists and culture scientists my investigations and stories of the students of the Academy of culture of Riga regarding international folklore and culture connections between the Latvians and the Slavs / Byelorussians, Polish, Russians, Ukrainians, Czechs and Serbs / in the field of national ballads and children songs. It must be pointed out that the jubilee celebrator realized not only the editing of these publications, but also did a part of purely technical tasks during the preparation of the manuscript for publication. The grateful authors express their thanks to the professor Iryda Grek-Psabisowa and we sincerely wish her good health, liveliness, work capacity and successful creative activities.
