Summary/Abstract: The aim of this work is performance analyses of Peer Port in peer-to-peer traffic transmission over a distributed overlay network. We analyze the delay in the retransmission buffer when the traffic in the cloud is real-time and near real-time. The work focuses on the disruptive cloud with unpredictable traffic behavior, lack of Quality of Service and Quality of Experience guarantee. We carry out experiments in the lab. The applications tested transmit information using Go Back N sliding window protocol at application layer combined with multicasting. The transport layer is tested with both TCP and UDP sockets. Time constraints for .txt, .avi, .mp3, .wav, .doc, .rar files have been recorded. The results show the behavior of fault ports and the performance of peers. The work is applicable in disruptive networks, opportunistic networks, Internet of Things, and mobile cloud computing.
