Summary/Abstract: The author presents a survey of the negotiations giving the chance to the diplomatic way of the peace process in the Middle East. This research is based partly on monographes of the leading politicians and diplomatic documents from the National Archives of Hungary that have reference to Israel, Egypt and the United States. In order to provide a more detailed insight into Arabic opinion, the author used the reports of the Hungarian daily newspapers, Népszabadság, the official medium of the Hungarian Communist Party.
