Summary/Abstract: After 1920 the new Bolshevik power tried to find the opportunity to build up relations with the leaders of the sovereign states and the popular-nationalist movements of the former colonies. First they achieved this in Arabia in 1923 when they opened their general consulate in Jiddah.The study presents the backgrounds and results of the established relations in Yemen on the basis of the Western press and sources until 1962.
