Summary/Abstract: Traditional poetry gave Romanian peasant soldiers from the Austro-Hungarian army the opportunity to make a communicational puzzle that brought together highly expressive, ideatic and imagistic known folk verse Ŕ thus sparing them of describing their feelings via a different genre (such as prose) they were not familiar with or had previously worked on.
