Summary/Abstract: The starting point of this paper is an idea stated by Novalis in one of his fragments of Allgemeines Brouillon, according to which the fairy tale would be the canon of poetry. Our undertaking consists in a heroic reading, in terms of the actantial model of A. J. Greimas, of the religious poem, ŖChant XVŗ, signed by the same author. Such a reading hypothesis would allow us to check the Ŗtruthŗ of Novalis postulate, one the one hand, and to recompose one of the possible stories which in-form the poetical structure of the two quatrains dedicated to Mary, on the other hand.
